My 2 questions are basically already asked in the topic title?
What does the Battery Care feature do in particular?
Can I enable it somehow manually, because the feature has nearly no chance to activate automatically bacause I charge my phone normally not scheduled to a timeplan.
I do not like features which try to do stuff for me when they think is the best time for it, I somehow tried to do so in order to trigger the feature to activate and it was very annoying. I just want to enable this feature when I personally know the phone will stay connected to the carger long enought.

Hi @pumikachu and welcome to our community!
Battery Care is a feature that increases the battery lifespan. It automatically detects when you leave your device fully charged for a long time, and adapts the charging speed during that period to reduce the battery wear. The feature will start a regular charging cycle that temporarily stops when the battery level has reached 90%. The feature will then resume charging 70 minutes before user data indicates that the battery is expected to be fully charged, and charge until the battery level has reached 100%.
Battery Care will not control the charging until it detects a regular charging cycle. This may take several days. There is no way to customize the Battery Care-feature on XZ2 Compact (the option to customize the Battery Care-feature was first added in Xperia 1), you are however able to enable or disable the feature by going to Settings > Battery > Battery care.
I hope that answered your question!
So this feature is basically not existing for me because my charging is not regular enough and I cannot do it manually.
I would have to adapt my charging habits to the feature to use it, which is more than a bad joke to be honest.
Might this be an option to make this feature manually enable able?
Thank you @pumikachu for your quick reply!
As there is no way to customize the feature to a manual schedule in the XZ2-series, you may be better off having the feature disabled if you have an irregular charging routine.
As I mentioned we have enabled an option to customize the Battery care-feature in our later models such as Xperia 1. Regarding whether this option will be available for the XZ2-series, I am afraid that I cannot comment on future software updates.
I hope that answered your question!
Mine used to work great, until the last update. Battery life is less now.
Clean android runs great....why oh why do they butcher it?
