Update 47.1.A.12.119-Decrease in performance?

Four hours ago I updated my XZ Premium to the firmware 47.1.A.12.119 (March security patch) and after one hour restarted the phone. Now I ran the Antutu benchmark (v 7.0.6) and got the score of 177312,  when after the previous update (47.1.A.12.75) I got a score of 205550. Does this update brought a decrease in performance? 

Is this happening to anyone else? 

I am going to charge the phone, wait some more hours and repeat the process in the same conditions to see if the score increases. 

Update: Well, after phone full charged, restarted, and left resting for some time I was not able to get a score over 195000. Then after some time I was able to make a run with the phone temperature under 30ºC and got a score of 206952!

The thing is that before the update all the scores I remember and have recorded were above 200000 even with phone normal working temperature.

May be is just coincidence but it would be interesting to see what other users experience.

As I heard 170-180k is usual result for snapdragon 835.

That was in the ancient Antutu version (v 6), in the actual (v 7) the regular score for XZ Premium is 200-205k.

170k is for older antutu, for newest a normal score is 205-210k.

Try running antutu when your phone has more than 80% battery and when is not heated! Try leaving 15 minute to cool down and repeat the test.

P. S. Antutu and Geekbench are not true software tools for measuring the processor power and they are faking scores favoring architectures. 

Instead running those fake tests maybe do some research of armv8a. Yes, we have one of the best processor out  there! 🤩 Gues what? Apple A11 is also based on armv8a architecture, maybe like Sd845, cortex75 which can be turbo boosted more than Sd835 when is cooler and throttled when hot. If you look into A11 antutu there are scores from 220k to 165k based on how hot is the soc. Also antutu score can be faked with the ai coprocessor see kirin970, apple A11 and Sd845. 

Trust me Sd835 is not that far behind to sd 845 or A11 as they are marketing ouț there. 

Also scores can be faked with drivers, libs, not just hardware. 

Viceversa is also true, for example Sd835 is artificially slowed down, for business reasons, not to be able to encode 4k60fps or 4k120fps for example. This can be set either in spectral isp hardware or in drivers, libs, etc

With 17.5 GB/sec bandwidth this soc is a beast! 🤗

When it comes to gpus, adreno is  by far the champ, leaving a11 and other in the dust.

This update is just GPS icon and security patch. Known problems as laggy call list and 4k video recording is not solved. Very minor and a lot of disappoinment, more than month to make just this useless update.

After updating the last update to 119n, I am still having to use the same safe mode although the sist telling me to clear the cache is giving the interface error

No but I have noticed a less effective ultra stamina mode. I use it actually quite frequently and it seems that its draining faster than usual. Its still way better but after update, I've noticed the %s go down a tad bit more.
