Unstable network reception

Hello,

Recently I have been experiencing a lot of issue with network reception.
While moving between one place to another XZ1 loses network and never reconnects to it.
I had to restart every time to make XZ1 find the network and connect to it.

I think this one is the biggest problem so far with XZ1(After double tap to wake and Image retention) since I am not able to communicate and use basic functionality of the phone.

I have been also experiencing issues with Dialer when this happens, The dialer hangs and the solution is again restart phone.

PS: I am using latest version 47.1.A.8.49.

I know sony staff don't read this forum(and don't care to).
So far the issues I have sent them over email and this forum are not acknowledged by anyone from Sony (Forget about the Fixing).

I have the same problem with my wifi connection and I have to do restart the phone to have wifi connection. I send many emails to sony and they said me to send it to Technical department to fix it. I send them why I do that. It's probably a software issue of Sony because many owners of xz1 have the same issue. I'm planning to keep it for one year if Sony don't give a solution with update it will be the last time I will buy Sony.

Hey mate,

I know its frustrating but I read that sometimes you can fix the issue by disabling both your wifi and mobile data connection. Then, enable airplane mode. Now, enable your WiFi or Mobile data connection and it should work. 

If not, I suppose you have to keep restarting your smartphone until Sony pushes out an official update that fixes the issue. Best of luck!

Another quick relief seems to be that you enable airplane mode and then disable airplane mode again.

I have seen this option elsewhere.

Absolutely the same thing. It only works well when the second sim is disabled. There's the problem only when two sim are enabled.

So do you all have the Dual SIM variant?

Is it possible to try a different SIM card in the affected slot just to rule out the possibility of a damaged SIM card?

I have the mono sim version and when it goes to network lock there is no way to unlock the ciI have the mono sim version and when it goes to network lock there is no way to unlock the freezing of the radio part. That's a hardware flaw in all sony xz1 devices. That's a shame for a flagship device. Never again sony. It can't be fixed with software updates. There are 3 kind of wifi problems:

1) It will be loosing wifi connection for 3 seconds and then reconnect

2) it will be loosing Internet connection but not wifi connection for some seconds and reconnect

3)it will be loosing wifi connection and it won't reconnect, it will be in a scan loop mode, unless you restart the device.

Issue still not fixed in latest version.
Seriously, Calling is basic functionality and even after month of posting this issue I don't see any acknoledgment from sony side about this.
This is getting out of hands sony.
