Twitter app not working after update

Hi,

After update 41.2.A.7.35 Twitter didnt work. Cant't load any tweet ir timeline

Any solution?

Sooooo I have fixed it, YAY

But it was using the Sony Companion software fix thing, so you will need a laptop AND it wipes your phone, BOOOOOO.

Fairly poor all round - neither Sony or Twitter are prepared to do a downloadable patch to fix this, and they still claim it's user error. 

If it's user error, how come a factory reset sorts if out 🤔

Always too easy blame the customer 🤡

Sony are hardly bending over backwards to help long standing users here. Really poor.

It always shows "Can't retrieve tweets at this time. Please try again later.". And I'd I go with my tweets and re-tweet it shows related feeds but I couldn't get news feeds in home page.. 

Repeating the same error message. 

This happens foe the past one week. 

Someone please help me.

Yes, as everyone here, Sony z5 twitter doesn't work,and hasn't for a few weeks now,  very poor service, Sony and twitter... This should have been sorted in a matter of hours.. And your lack of action.. Speaks volumes... Customer care disaster if you ask me...

Twitter app and the microsoft apps (word,exel etc) do not work!! Sort this out Sony. Not impressed over the past 6 weeks.

Hi, i have posted on this thread a few backs and the problem has not been resolved 

I have also picked up on another problem and I was just wondering if anyone else experiences this...  My Sony z5 has started to get extremely hot to the point where I cannot touch or hold it... I have to hold it in a cold wet flannel to cool it down 😂,  it starts getting hot within a minute of use... It's really annoying and could be dangerous

Just got an update on my XZs last night and the problem remains. Really annoying!

Hi,

I find a workarround that works for me:

- Go to  twitter.com and change your username like uppercase/lowercase letters. After that log in Twitter app

Like you, since the last update 7.1.1, Twitter, Word Excel and PowerPoint doesn't work anymore.

I will fully reset my phone next week, hope will solve the issue but this is just unbelievable that Sony doesn't do anything. 

Everything works well before the upgrade one month ago... and now the official support of Sony told me this is a third app and they cannot do anything, even if it's working before. Logical. 

From Twitter support, no response yet (about official support on Xperia X compact and Android 7.1.1)

By the way, I'm totally uncomfortable about the quality of support from Sony and also the QA about upgrade on Android and not confortable to continue with Sony products on the future.
