The most important thing in a phone is to be able to mute it at a single touch fir meetings etc. There seems to be no such feature on my new phone? Should have been in the scroll down menu...
Hope someone can help, it must be there.
No, there isn't an icon for this in the status bar/pull down menu, I missed it too in the beginning.
On the Xperia it goes like this: Press on one of the volume buttons then the volume slider appears. Pressing on the icon on the left mutes the phone.
Well it is not good enough. I will then have to mute all 3 types of volume, also media and alarms. So it is 5 presses to really mute the phone. It is very unsatisfying... But thanks for the reply. Cannot understand why they have left that button out of the android standard. Could be enough to return the phone for me...
Furthermore it seems it is not possible to turn of vibration using that method. My current Samsung phone has the three settings on the here missing speaker icon. Sound, vibration and mute. Here it seems it is either sound or vibration. I have seen the do not disturb function. That also also doesn't work. I should be able to make it possible for my favorite contacts to call even in this do not disturb mode. But it won't let any calls through even though I have added contacts to favorite list and turned no disturb to have these contacts as exceptions. This is the worst problem and I cannot use this phone if I cannot make it work. Luckily this would be a software error so I can get my money back...
