Dearest Sony,

why do you roll out updates without even as much as testing them? I understand that Swedes in your mobile phone division must have a drinking problem, but the Japanese should push them a bit, don't you think so?

When I updated to Android Pie, the navigation bar in most applications is now just a white stripe without any icons. On a standard Android Phone I would just start either a "Dark Theme" or a "Night Mode". There is no Dark theme on Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact. Care to share the reason why?

Night mode only works with some apps (very few of them in fact).

So to summarize, three questions:

1) Why don't the Japanese organize some testing before you roll out updates?

2) Why there is no dark theme on this phone any more?

3) How to make the white navigation bar with no buttons dark with white buttons?

Hi all,

After updating to Android 9, the nav bar at the bottom is always present, and I cannot find a setting in my Nova launcher to auto-hide it.

Does anyone have a solution on how to hide the nav bar?
