If there is more than one update available for your device, you will need to install the updates one by one.
There is a easy way to test this is and that is to go to Settings > System > About phone, scroll down to "Build number" and write current number down > apply an update, wait for the device to install it and then restart. Go back and check if the number has changed.
If the number has changed, you have installed a new update and if you get a new notification about an available system update, install it as normal and when you have the latest version installed, you will not receive a new notification, until a new software is released.
