You have an Android Phone - so feel free to install any keyboard of your choice.

BTW: I'm using swiftkey since 6 years and for me there is no better keyboard supporting 3 languages at the same time.

@MtykanI've just tried and you indeed can't disable Swiftkey. I'm afraid your best bet is just to use another keyboard from Play Store as @schickel suggested.

@MtykanI understand you and as I've said, I tried disabling it and couldn't find a way to do that. I don't know why is that, and I'm afraid there's nothing you can do about it. some preloaded apps can't be disabled - same goes for What's New, for example.

Xperia keyboard is far superior to swift key. Why is it not the default!?!! A lot of work to switch for a novice user as me and I suspect many users don't realise that they can switch. Then they have to endure with bad keyboard. Not fair. Please set Xperia as default!

Just Google how to remove bloat from xperia. Read how to use ADB from your PC/laptop and you can uninstall for the current user with both apps. What's New will still be available for install on the update screen...just don't install it and it will not bother you. Swiftkey will register as not installed for the current user. If you want to completely delete these and other system apps then you must root the phone, which will introduce many other issues that you probably want to avoid. I have done the ADB commands on my non-rooted premium and it works. Time for some reading.

I have disable the Swiftkey keyboard in the system setting. When I change the language from English to French canadian, the keyboard switch to swiftkey keyboard and I am not able to change the keyboard to xperia keyboard. This is unexceptable.I use the Sony xepria phone since the Xperia Z, Xperia-Z3 and I have never face to this problem.

i agree, Swiftkey is not for me, not being able to disable Personal Prediction is a deal breaker, no more Sonys if Swiftkey isn't removable
