Sony XZ -Transfer Data from SD card to Internal Storage ?

Hi, After following the message on my XZ to transfer data, apps ,music etc to my external storage, to save space on my internal storage ,I noticed that my internal storage was a paltry 2GB. 

This has left me little space to add more music  /videos etc , and I would like to upgrade the external storage to 32 or 64 GB.

How do I transfer the apps and vital data back to the phones internal storage, enabling me to remove the 2 GB card and replace it ?

Hi @Paulyboy,

To move a app back to your internal storage from you SD-card go to: Settings > Apps > Name of the app you want to move > Storage > Change > Internal storage. This has to be done for each individual app you want to move back to your internal storage.

To move photos or other data from your SD-card go to: Settings > Storage & memory > Tap ... > Advanced > Storage > Phone card > Press and hold on the map or file you want to move > Tap ... > Move to or Copy to > Select a location on your internal storage > Copy or Move.

I have the same problem.

I want to move back apps to internal storage.

I tried to do as advised, but the app is not shown on the app list.

Any other tip?

I'm sorry for the late reply.

That's odd you should be able to see if according the instructions I posted in this thread. If you cannot find the app under: Settings > Apps, that would indicate that you don't have the app installed. What app is it you are trying to move back to your internal storage?

 I wanted to move wechat. I deleted it a reinstalled it. Lost all my discussions... 

Anyway this phone is so  I will change shortly. I can't even take pictures with it.

I had the same problem... For some reason it would not let me open apps (Facebook messenger, excel, pintrest) all of which had been installed. An error came up to say they had been stored on the SD card.

I had to uninstall  them by holding the homescreen and ☓ing  them. I then had to reinstall. Fingers crossed this has fixed the problem.
