I've had my Chrome XZP for 18 months of a 24 month contract and the paint/coating is coming off on the sides.
I've seen this issue mentioned in other posts and other forums with no solution.
My phone is extremely well looked after and has no other signs of wear or damage. I took it into the Carphone Warehouse where I got it from and the manager said it's pointless returning it to Sony as they will consider it to be 'normal wear and tear' and therefore not covered under warranty!
This is obviously a fault and not related to misuse or rough handling so are Sony prepared to treat it as such?
I always sell my handsets at the end of the contract and get premium prices as they are well kept and my eBay reputation is 100%. But I won't be able to get a good price for this one now, and the way this is being treated will stop me from buying another Sony handset.
This is very disappointing as I've been buying Sony handsets for the last 16 years! I also have a Z4 tablet, Sony headphones and Bluetooth speakers so I was definitely a brand fan.
