Smart Lock empty after update

Today I had to update the Android software on my 10-days old (new ;)) telephone. Since the update the Smart Lock option doesn't work anymore. When I tried to figure out what was wrong I discovered that the Smart Lock screen is empty. The options I saw before are gone. So I cannot set Smart Lock anymore. Am I the only one with this problem? Does any of you know how I can fix this?

I received update 47.1.A.12.75 last week, was hoping some solutions for problems but still same.

Go to settings, Lock Screen & Security, scroll down to Trusted Agents, tap it, turn off all trusted agents.

Then restart your phone.

Go through the same Settings steps but enable the Trusted Agents.

Everything should be back. 

It would be nice if the moderator made this a "sticky" so it would be easy to find.  This same information is in this thread many times but with the thread being 8 pages long, the information gets lost.

Hi, 

I found a solution for bluetooth issue, it fixed smart lock screen problem at the same time.

I was using car bluetooth connection as trusted device, BT is working now and smart lock unlocks the phone when connected to the car.

Nope... Restart only allows for it to work until the next restart when it fails.

Even with the new firmware v. 47.1.A.12.119 it still doesn't work properly.

Slightly off topic,  I'm having trouble with the flip cover to lock/unlock (started a separate thread). I'm using a generic flip (not style) cover but it worked fine on my XZ prior to Oreo.  Since Oreo,  and now on the XZ1 nothing happens.

Just got my new phone and updated to 47.1.A.12.145. I also saw the black Smart Lock screen but was able to get it back using the trick mentioned. But even though Trusted Places is enabled, it does not seem to work. I am pretty sure it did work when it was new and I hadn't updated since the FW from August 2017.

Oh I did not see I was in the XZ1 Compact forum, mine is not the Compact but I assume it works the same on both.

You are correct as far as Trusted Places on Compact.

It does not work.

It used to work but now it doesn't.

This really is awful.

My phone seems to mave more problems every day.

I may send it back under warrentee.
