Smart Lock empty after update

Today I had to update the Android software on my 10-days old (new ;)) telephone. Since the update the Smart Lock option doesn't work anymore. When I tried to figure out what was wrong I discovered that the Smart Lock screen is empty. The options I saw before are gone. So I cannot set Smart Lock anymore. Am I the only one with this problem? Does any of you know how I can fix this?

Me to. Have spoken to Sony support 5-8 times just seems to fall on deaf ears.

I tried a software repair and it did not permanently fix the issue, i'm running 47.1.A.2.374 

The only thing that seems to temporarily restore the menu it what everyone else has recommended (toggle trust agents, reboot etc..)

The same thing has happened to me, new handset bought 25. 11. 17, update on 30. 11 and Smart Lock no longer available. I emailed Sony, who got me to do a repair re upload of the software, which fixed it.  For 5 days. Today, the Smart Lock has stopped working again. All they can suggest is I send my handset in to them to be repaired. I'm not happy to send a brand new handset

off to be fiddled about with. I want a new handset, that works as it's meant to. Something clearly wrong with the software update, if you guys have had the same problem.

The repair companion software reset worked for me for 5days, Smart Lock failed again today. Xperia xz1. Someone has suggested a solution earlier in this thread, says it's a glitch in Android 8. I'll read their suggestion again and give it a go

There is another part to the Smart lock problem. Once you (eventualy) get to the smartlock menu and add your 'trusted device', restart your phone and it's gone.

Is it just me or does it forget trusted devices after a reboot.

Seems like poorly implemented and buggy feature, having removed trusted NFC devices, which always worked like a charm. I know this isn't really a Sony problem, but Googles tinkering. 

So annoying.
