Smart Lock empty after update

Today I had to update the Android software on my 10-days old (new ;)) telephone. Since the update the Smart Lock option doesn't work anymore. When I tried to figure out what was wrong I discovered that the Smart Lock screen is empty. The options I saw before are gone. So I cannot set Smart Lock anymore. Am I the only one with this problem? Does any of you know how I can fix this?

Smart lock ausschalten . Gerät neu starten und Smart lock wieder anschalten und schon wieder alles da

Turn off Smart lock. Restart the device and turn on the Smart Lock again and everything will be back.

Hi everybody,

My XZ1 Compact has been upgraded to Android 9 (47.2.A.0.306).

The issue with empty Smart Lock seems to be gone. At least I have not seen it last two days.

But now the Trusted Face option doesn't work Slightly_frowning_Face It shows fingerprint on the locked screen and never changes to unloked lock.

How does it work for you, guys?

My Xperia XZ2 Premium recently updated to Android 9.0 Pie.

I have less of an issue when restarting my phone where Smart Unlock disappears, and I have to untrust the app on and off; like before.

I get this cute little face icon now ^

However, there is still an issue. It still can glitch though, at one point the icon pops up for a second and it wants a fingerprint instead. It seems like if you restart the face ID, it only wants face ID, if you use your finger once, it always wants a finger-print after. Accepting either or at any given point seems like it can't jump that hurdle.

I don't want to use the "on-body detection" and "trusted places" i.e. at home. Technically if I put my phone down and someone picks it up right after it would be considered close body and would stay unlocked for them.
