Smart Lock empty after update

Today I had to update the Android software on my 10-days old (new ;)) telephone. Since the update the Smart Lock option doesn't work anymore. When I tried to figure out what was wrong I discovered that the Smart Lock screen is empty. The options I saw before are gone. So I cannot set Smart Lock anymore. Am I the only one with this problem? Does any of you know how I can fix this?

A reddit post seems to suggest that a google play services update solves this issue. Some installed a beta from apkmirror, but I guess we can just wait for it to come through the play store.

I can confirm that the issue has gone since the latest update of the Goole Services. It's working as expected after restarting phone. No empty Smart Lock screen!

How did you update the Google Services? I tried signing up for the beta program for the Google Play Services app, it says I'm a beta tester, but I'm not sure if I have the beta installed or not, and I still get the blank smart lock screen after reboot.

I did nothing. I just got it from Play Market as a regular update. No Beta programms.

Google service update did not work.

I updated all apps and services, checked smart lock screen, it was looking ok. Then restarted phone, turned off and on smart lock under trust agents, checked smart lock screen, it is blank again.

Me too.

I had to do the trust agent stuff to get the lock options back.

This must be real rocket science.  Ha Ha
