Proximity sensor on when auto brightness enabled?

i have mine same issue with you, try to switch on the adaptive brightness then restart the phone after that, switch it off then restart the phone again, the red sensor will appear but not always on, but the adaptive brightness wont be fixed. i dont know maybe the software is bugged

I believe that sensor is also used for the adaptative brightness, that's why is always on when i have that option enabled.
