Problem with display

Hello guys i have a question: is it normal that i can see horizontal and vertical lines forming something like a pixel grid ( maybe it's the pixel grid itself) on the screen especially while watching white images with high brightness? Is it something that every xz premium have or is it just a problem of my Phone?

Thanks for everyone that Will help me. This thing is Making me pretty sad because the screen look like an old (really old) generation one.

Sony have had this issue with older phones, but I thought they solved it. At least this was solved for regular XZ. It looks like digitizer is again visible in bright light for XZ Premium.

This is a hardware specific for a display, cannot be fixed with a software. For me it is not an issue but I understand for some may be. Again I thought they finally managed to solve this issue not only for XZ but for every future phone. Seems I was wrong.

People want perfect phone from SONY ..many ppl returned their phone just because of this issue .

Sony never learned from their mistakes..they're doing it again and again and again ...

It's not digitiser or pixel grid.

It's a byproduct of running a 4k display in 1080p.

If you look at Z5 premium, it also had this grid slightly visible on white or grey solid areas.

It's not perfect but is massively less visible than a diamond pentile matrix would be doing the same job.

But I can see it even on the gallery app when the 4k display runs in 4k. Is it normal?

Yes, i have the same issue one mine. I see pixels on googles browser really badly. It only look good in 4k. I think this is just becuase there are so many pixels that aren't being used right when the display is in 1080 resoultion.

Digitizer is not visible on a high Quality lcd ...even in direct sunlight please don't mislead people ...if it's not an issue why it's only visible on sony phone ???????? Please don't try to defend SONY ...

Why we can't see it on iphone LCD screen ????

Definitly it's a hardware issue ...

I see it on iPhones but not SONY screens...

Apple use horribly cheap LCDs with yellowing, blotching, binding effects and uneven backlight. I see none of these problems with SONY LCD.

Oops! It looks terrible i think it is SONY signature on their lcd screen !

I'm genuinely surprised the mods don't ban you. You fill every thread with hateful, unhelpful comments. You hate the XZp and Sony and love OLED and Samsung; save yourself the hassle and buy an S8...good luck with your burn in and degradation!

OP, after seeing your pictures, what you're looking at is the subpixel arrangement on the display. Every display on the market has this, just in different arrangements, and contrary to the forum yokel's opinion, this is actually more prominent in pentile OLEDs. Anyways, I don't really know what you're expecting exactly. Do you just hate the pattern? If so, this phone is not for you, but realize that every single display on earth has this trait with different patternz. Or, do you not like the fact that you can see that texture at all? If that's the case, this is the highest pixel density display on any phone, so if this isn't good enough, nothing will be.

I just hate that i can see it. I can't see it on full hd display of iPhone six so I don't think it's a matter of resolution.

But I can see it in the same way when I'm viewing 4k images in the gallery in images the have light colours for example in a pic with the skie. Is it same for u or in 4k mode is everything OK?
