Phone gets stuck in landscape mode

Wondering whether anyone has experienced this but my Xperia XZ Premium sometimes gets stuck in landscape mode. The times it has happened, screen rotation has been on. So I have to disable rotation then go back to normal usage

Does it happen in any specific application? Can you replicate it in safe mode?

Thanks for getting back on this. 

It actually doesn't happen when am using the phone. The times it has happened, I get the phone from my pocket and realize that it's stuck in landscape. 

How do I replicate it in safe mode?

The instructions for putting your smartphone into Safe Mode can be found over here... Put your smartphone into Safe Mode and then see if you have the same problem.

Yes.. I am facing the same issue.. Sometimes the phone gets stuck in landscape mode then I need to lock my screen and then unlock it to make it work again.... This is happening after oreo update

So clearly it's not just me. 

However mine started before Oreo update...

My device is the XZ Premium - dual sim. But using 1 sim for now. 

I recently upgraded to the Oreo version.

Test the Gyroscope under Settings > About Phone > Diagnostics > Test. 

You may also wish to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion.

Did all what sony said. Worthless advise. Problem with the phone for sure.
