Hello.
My Xperia XZ2 doesent boot after an OTA Update. I have a bootloop. Sony Logo >>>> the software update failed. make sure that your phone is connected to the computer and try again.
when I connect the charging cable.
The software repair does not work, because companion says my battery is to weak but I think in the condition I can not charge the battery.
What can i do ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can also charge the phone when it's switched off. Plug it into the charger and try again with software repair after a while.
Strange, that an OTA update caused such issues...something went absolutely wrong, it seems.
Ah ok...That means the battery still loads?
if the phone is off and I connect the cable then it turns on again.
Thank you
If the phone was charging it should have worked by now...how's the status?
If this doesn't help there is also the possibility to flash the phone with flashtool. But since it's not an official way it should only be the last resort.
A failed update should be covered under warranty so you can also get in contact with your local support.
Puh it still works again. :smileysmileywink:
I had the cable for a few hours on the device. Apparently the battery has charged and so I could do the repair.
Thank you very much
Great, that's good to hear!
Although it's not good that an OTA update forces you to repair and therefore reset your phone 😕
Tip: Whenever there is an update first charge your phone to >80% to be shure everything will go smotth.
