Earlier I could "mark all contacts, and then delete.
I only found out that I have to mark the contact I want to delete, and then do that with every contact.
I big job if I want to delete all contacts, if you have about 600 contacts...
Not possible in Nougat?
hi
if i configure an Exchange Account , the email app sync Email, Calendar and Contacts (No GMAIL)
If i remove the Exchnage account from my Xperia, and if for some reason, removing account no delete the contacts, how do I delete them all together?
I hope I was clear
Thanks for the update!
Now I understand exactly what your question was about, thanks a lot of the clarification!
When you remove the account the contacts should also be removed from the contact application, since there is no longer an account for the phone to synchronize them from.
If they aren't deleted by default you will have to mark them one by one and then delete them all together, you can also use another contacts application to delete them.
I hope that answers your question, if not let me know!

Hello again!
I will gladly forward your feedback internally!
You can also use another contact application to delete all the contacts at once, should this be needed.
Let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with!
How do i delete all contacts at once from my Experia XZ?
Hi @Rappie, welcome to our forum!
To delete all the contacts in your phone you will need to open up the Contacts application > press and hold on a contact. You will now see a checkbox next to the name of each of your contacts, tap on the checkbox and it will mark the contact.
When you have done it for all the contacts, tap the 3 dots in the top right corner > Delete contact.
Let me know if that helps!
Hello Company Sony. You write from Albania. I want to add the next option updated to Xperia XZ to mark all in Contacts to delete all contacts after not exist
I hope they do listen, "Select All" is a simple option which can be useful in several ways.
If you wish to delete most or all then it is the straightforward way to go. "Most" select all and uncheck those you want.
If you have imported your contacts pst file from other than google and now wish to import it afresh via an application like AprutoSync then it is obvious that you don't want to delete the original on your computer and you dont want to leave the old load installed on the phone because you will end up with duplicates on the phone for any similar names to remain there.
It was an inane move removing this, the type of thing you expect from Apple but not Sony.
Like the questioner, I have around a thousand contacts on the phone and don't relish the idea of checking 1000 boxes.
Great to see Official Sony Support Staff onto every question though.Plenty of kudos there even if not for removing 'Select all'.
Cheers
BTW it had not changed by version 7.1
Hi @JAID, welcome to our forum and I apologize for my late reply!
I understand that if you have a lot of contacts it will take a lot of time to delete all of them directly in the device and I will make sure to forward your feedback internally regarding this!
There may however be other contacts application that you can install from the Google Play store that this have this feature. I'm afraid that I have not used one myself, so I can't give you any suggestions, however if you find one, I would be really happy if you would share it with us!
Have a great day and thank you for the feedback!
