I accidentally drop my device and crack the lcd and i immediately contact sony support and was very dissapointed to their response. I know its not covered by the warranty but at least try and offer to repair my device because i am willing to pay and wait for it.
All i got from their represenative was unfortunately we do not cover blah blah blah... and im sorry for the inconvenience... All i wanted to know is will you able to fix it out of warranty and i will send my device to a sony repair center and will pay for it even if i have to wait for a couple of weeks, but no there is no sony service center here in the US not one unbelievable, no after sales service at all. So to all potential sony mobile buyers better think twice before buying a sony device for when you accidentally damage your device and are willing to pay for the service and or repair it is non-existence here in the US, even authorized service center is not provided to me.
To all here in the forum. If any of you who knows where i can send my device for repair. I really need your advice and as for Sony you guys and this will be my last Xperia never again will i take the risk.
Hi @Kaiserjeff1986, I am very sorry to hear about what has happened to your device.
I am afraid that I'm situated in Sweden, therefore I am not well informed regarding the local service routines within the US, but I will have a look at this for you internally and write you back as soon as I know more.
If possible, try to wait with sending it in to a third party repair center until I know more - I'll do my best to get you a reply as quick as possible.
@Kaiserjeff1986 I've been in touch with the support team for the US market and I am still finding out specific details for you, such as how having it sent to a third party service center affects warranty.
I understand that you've been very patient so far and that you'd like to have your device repaired, but I will find out more details and write you back as soon as I get a reply. I am very sorry for the inconvenience, but I am doing my best to get you a swift reply.
To be fair, Sony doesn't care at all about the US market. They've been saying the lie about working on a US repair center or with partners since June 2016 for the Xperia X Performance and do not reply or will not help at all.
They have no US support and if anyone sees this, it's best to not buy Sony Xperia products in the United States unless they guarantee or offer support on their products going forward.
Otherwise, the repair policy is "buy a new one". They don't care, anything stated otherwise is a lie and it's stupid to spend this much on a product that the company offers no options to repair. You can't even buy parts to fix it yourself (unless purchasing from questionable overseas sites).
