My phone restarts for no reason + some other stuff

Hi. My phone restarts at least once a day. It can be when i`m connect to an bluetooth device or browsing instagram. First the phone slowns down, then the screen freezes and after a moment or five, it restarts. This is annoying as f...! I also have a problem some notifications that won go away, there from android system and its about how some apps can show over other apps. Mcafee and du recorder wont go away. And last, is it not possible to double tap screen to wake up on this phone, and i cant get the smart screen function to woork! Its on and everything but it wont work.

Please help???

For me disabling the smart cleaner helps a bit with the restart problem. But honestly it isn't a real fix...

This is an old phone, which means it has limited RAM compared to newer devices, keep in mind that app/game developers got a bit lazy (my opinion) and apps are really really heavy, this could be the problem

A faulty / old SIM card could be the cause of the problem.

This is what I've done to my Z1, reinstalled the last update and it has helped with performance.

Old phone? It`s sonys newest line, i bought it one week ago.

It has behaved likethis from day 2.

Mine does the same thing, its done it everyday since Monday! I drive to work using Deezer and maps. Nothing else. Phone is fine all day. I get in the car to come home, sometimes with both apps going, sometimes just maps. But after 5 minutes on the drive home, it restarts itself! Always in the afternoon!

Reading a old phone thread it was linked to Bluetooth connectivity but that doesn't make any sense. Hoping it's an Android 8 bug that will be fixed ASAP. The compact seems to be having a similar problem but more frequent. 

I didn't set up macafee on mine, disabled it straight away. But I'm curious about the double tap option too. I can't figure out how to get it to work...

Same Problem here, exactly as described above. First getting slower then freezing display then restart. Occuring approx once in two days. Mostly when I want to send a voice message in WhatsApp. Hope it will be fixed with 8.1

@temod21 regarding the notification about apps being able to draw over other apps - it's Android Oreo thing implemented by Google and it's supposed to be changed in an 8.1 update.

on a side note, you could just disable/uninstall McAffee app, and try another screen recording app, like ScreenCam or this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kimcy929.screenrecorder

@Balaxis you should try contacting Whatsapp support and letting them know about the issue. they might want to look into that.
