why doesn't sony implement MHL on their new X series? Seems like a very useful feature to be missing as the SD835 supports is as well as some devices also having USB/3.1 integrations. Is there an actual business decison for this or is it a software limitation?

Might be something to do with the new hardware, but  Samsung also has disabled this feature in the newer phones.
