Sony Xperia marketing scheme for extended warranty in Hong Kong is very much confusing.
I bought two Song Xperia XZ1 in Hong Kong and received the extended warranty cards at late Sept 2017.
After the shop's free replacement period ( it should be before 15 OCT 2017), I got into the Sony registeration home page to register the extended warranty successfully. I had been expecting to receive an written acknowledgement by 30 NOV 2017 as I was told.
However I have not received the acknowledgement by 30 NOV 2017, therefore, I called Sony Xperia Customer Service and also the insurance broker (the third party back to back insurance broker assign by Sony that handle this program) on 1 DEC 2017, but their replys were my files are not in their computer record and refused my re-registeration.
Be honest, there are how many faults have been found via the internet, computer software and hardware. It is very simple to re-registeration by hand. Otherwise, why the stated a deadly of receiving the written acknowledgement on the card.
However, over the phone, there was Mr. Yu of the chief of the CS challenged me for dare to report to management even to Japan and/or Consumer Council there will no change for he determined.
Mr. Yu also asked me for the recorded of registeration but never had the intension of checking the systems and insurance working properly. Be honest, despite the possiblites of the insurance problem, how many computer and internet transmission have been problems found every single date in the world.
Mr. Yu said that he is the only one decision maker of this marketing program, I wonder why he can so sure the system has no problem at all. He told me he is the senior officer in the Xperia Customer Service for their manager has been taking sick leave and won't be back for some time, there is no other reporting channel at that moment!!! SUCH A BIG MOUTH YELLING!!!
My gut feeling is Sony promoting the new series Xperia, she should be spent a plenty large budget in the advertizement insertions, bundle sales,...etc, etc. But all efforts being ruinned by her C S staff, Mr. Yu. One more year warrantry is not much to me for most poeple will change their every year.
Dare you guy to have Sony phone with such specific C S Service (because Mr. Yu if the chief and carried out such ridiculous service). Since plenty of choices in the market and will be coming more and more...! Be honest, my further choice is not just functions and feature but the servicing qualities are more essential. Think about it...
