Magnetic Charging

I have a magnetic charger that I used with my old Xperia X Compact which worked great. I just bought an XZ1 Compact but the phone does not recognize that I have a dongle inserted. I tried out the dongle and charging cord on my friends Google Pixel and it worked fine. So it is something where my phone won't recognize there is a dongle inserted. It charges fine with an ordinary USB-C charging cord.

Has anyone run into this problem?

Sony Mobile cannot guarantee the compatibility or functionality of third party products. We recommend you use the charger and USB-C cable that came with your handset, or an offical Sony Mobile quick charger such as the UCH-12.
