Left and right speakers are not equal

I had my first XZ-Premium 6 months ago. Last 2 months, I realize the RIGHT speaker is quiter than the left one. When it came to the situation that I could barely hear a sound from the right speaker I decided to contact the local support and got a replacement. It went perfectly until now.

After about 2 months with the new XZP, I got the same problem but the situation has changed: the LEFT speaker is now quiter than the right one.

I have tried everything I could:

+ lastest sofware update,

+ running in Safe Mode,

+ testing Loudspeaker (using *#*#7378423#*#*).

+ trying many kinds of sound source (mp3, Youtube, video

I even have factory reset my phone.

But unfortunately, the left speaker sound is still quiter than the right one.

Can you help me?

This is 100 % hardware fault and if contact the seller of the phone, they should fix it or replace the phone free of charge (if it's still within warranty).

I had the same issue in the UK with Xperia Z5 and was sent two replacements with same issue but the third one was OK and the sound was well balanced between the speakers. Definitely go down warranty route!

speakers aren't equal when youre listening to music or what?if its playing music/games it is made to not be equal(like vocal comes out from right and bass from left)

Thank you for your reply. It happens with any kind of sound, games, movies, music, youtube. And I promise you there is no way the bass and the vocal come out from different speakers (that would be really weird I think). The sound is the same but the volume in the left is louder than the right (it’s really a bit of annoying). BTW, the speakers worked fine when I first got it, this just happend after about a month later. I think I'm gonna have to have it checked

erm i am sorry i couldnt help much but my phone is like that too(with buttons on top.my LEFT speaker is louder than my right speaker).as we are not supposed to put the phone 5cm from our faces...if you put the phone around 30cm from your face then it might sound "normal"...and correct me if im wrong but if the left and right speakers produce the same amount of volume then its gonna sound bad...as it needs to balance the output.

You also have a faulty phone. If I were you I'd claim it under warranty. My XZ Premium has perfectly balanced speakers no matter how far from my face I hold it. And no, it's not by design that bass comes from one speaker and vocals from another. It's faulty hardware.

@Sensination

Thank you for all your advices. I have brought my phone to the local support and they found there was a problem with the touch screen. But this time they didn't give me a new phone, instead, they replaced all the outside parts of my phone. Now I have my phone back with perfectly balance between 2 speakers.
