January update (47.1.A.12.34) bug , gps icon always on

The January update solved some bugs but unfortunately brought another one, the gps icon in the status bar is always on, nevertheless we disconnect the gps. Rebooting the phone solves the problem but for only a few hours or one day but it always comes back. Could not find any solution. Several other users of the same update are facing the problem as posted on XZ1 and XZ1 Compact forum.

A solution is needed. Thank you.

Update:

72 hours since my last restart I think it's now safe to say that the update 47.1.A.12.119 solved this issue, if it is not the case I will report back.

This issue has been reported with XZ1 and XZ1C.

By the way, is no-alarm issue solved with this update?

I don't know what issue you mean by the no-alarm, if you are referring to the phone alarm not ringing on the Smartband talk (the only problem I had with the phone alarm), yes it is now solved.

Ya, I got this issue too. After repair by XC it still persistent

GPS location icon stays in the top bar here too a few hours after restarting the phone.

In settings / display / system icons you can uncheck the location icon this hides the icon, it's a temporary fix till Sony gets it's update right

I've done this to the wifi icon, as the up/down arrows flashing were distracting/ annoying
