Hi,
So it's that time again where hopefully everyone can report issues and such with this latest update.
I will post my review after 24 hours.
Cheers
------>update :
1)Ram management is a little better than before but still not that good. I guess 3 gigabytes is insufficient for oreo so sadly, I give up on this matter.
2) battery is still abysmal(can't even have 4 hours SOT)
3) camera still slow and the pictures takes ages to load and even more after that to be able to edit them.
4)4k mode still separate app.
5)no color gamut option in the display settings
6) not sure about spectre and meltdown whether they have been fixed or not. I read something about all patches released after january 5th do include the fix but not sure
7)adaptive brightness not aggressive anymore
My main concern is if this update actually fixes Spectre and Meltdown... Any info on that?
Quick review
1) Feels better Ram management.. Phone feels faster
2)less camera startup time
3) Looks like auto brightness is fixed..still testing
Is spectre and meltdown an issue on Android smartphone as well.? I thought it was only for Intel machines..
Just received notification for updates but waiting for more comments from those that have done already. Can I just ignore for the time being this update prompt..?
Still No fix for
SRGB mode
Bluetooth pairing bug
Camera Flash blinking while charging
No tap to sleep
I want to know what had updated in january patch?
And I want to get better battery time:smileyhappy:
Anyone on Android Oreo should update it without any thoughts..
The update has hardly changed anything but it has tuned the phone well and it's better than the first Oreo update...
My ldac and auto brightness problem are gone and seems like they fixed the alarm clock as well..
Battery life helps more or less the same
well so far I can tell that the new update is mighty.
very effective, the phone is very fluid no more lag apparently , fracking fast almost as fast than my XZ1
Finally the phone is fast again after a couple of month of pure bs...
Anyway, I'm happy we can have a good Oreo experience now...
Almost no last, good performance, faster camera (still not as fast as when the XZ launched), and battery seems ok... Barely a day...
I might factory reset my phone later and see if the battery improves (too many junk apps)
