But when i put my usb-c to 3.0 cable it shows up alternatives, and when i swish cable to 3.5mm audio cable bothing happened, So i wrote to support and they say " XZ Premium have support for Hi-Res Auido from USB-C port Provided that the connected device supports Hi-Res" So i whonder which cable i'm gonna need. I have look at this from
amazon. But i don't wana buy somthing that it's not gonna work. So i need all you'r help https://www.amazon.com/dodocool-Certified-Headphone-Earphone-Converter/dp/B0753H3WXR
Hi,
Have you tried changing the 'USB Configuration' in Developer options?
Hi. Yes i changet it to audiosource but nothing happened.
No one that have tried or something ??
i'm curious why are you trying to connect headphones via type-c to 3,5 mm jack WHEN YOU HAVE ONE ALREADY ON THE PHONE.....
Beacuse i have a love mei powerful case and i can't use my sony MDR-1A over-ear headphone beacuse the cable is to big for the 3.5mm. The case sort of block it. So for me to use the 3.5mm jack i need a smaller one with i can't find and only things that work if i use in-ear headphones, the cable are smaller on those but i don't wanna use it beacuse the sound are terrible on those. Thats why i need to use usb-c
I also use the dongle despite having jack headphones.
When using the dongle the sound is louder, clearer and the quality is much better than through jack. I bought the £6.99 HTC dongle with built in DAC and Amp and the difference in sound quality is shocking! Before hearing the difference I was in a "no jack, no buy" camp but considering the improvement in sound quality I say: "Death to jack, long live the USB-C"
Thank you Sony for being too cheap to include a decent DAC and Amp in your "Premium" phone...
Hi. Nice to see it works for you. Do you think this hi-res dongle will work
They might also include a sound system and a Bravia TV with their phones so they are not "too cheap" for you?
@Quester
I think you completely misunderstood my last sentence.
What I meant is that Sony is trying to save a little bit of money by including audio components that are of lower quality than the competition. Even some Chineese brands get better audio results than Sony (voltage, crosstalltk, etc.). Basically they are too stingy to spend a bit more on quality components which is embarassing for the company that prodes itself on being one of the best in quality audio. If a dongle that costs £6.99 massively improves quality and loudness then something is wrong don't you think?
Also, can you clarify what did you mean by Bravia and sound system as your sentence is very difficult to understand? What were you trying to say? Did you mean pre-order gifts?
