Heating notification on camera

Help me please, my phone always show heating notification when open camera, the problem just happen when i open camera but for other applications is fine.

Hi @Ikmal, I am sorry to hear about this.

Firstly I would suggest that you check whether there is any available software updates for your phone. The easiest way to check this is to find and tap Settings > System > advance > Software update, but you can also check this in Xperia Companion.

Have you tried clearing data for the camera app. This will reset all settings for the application which might do the trick. In order to do this, find and tap Settings > Apps and notifications > Show all apps > Camera > Storage > Clear data > Restart the phone.

Another thing that you can try is to reboot you phone in safe mode and see if the behavior of the camera app persists there. All apps downloaded from Play Store is temporarily disabled while in safe mode, and by doing this you can see if this behavior is caused by a downloaded application. For more information on safe mode and how to use it, click here.

If none of these measures manages to improve the functionality of the camera app, I suggest that you try to perform a software repair using a computer and Xperia Companion. Please note though that a software repair will erase all user data, so remember to do a backup of your user data first.

Hello Martin, My phone in Android 9, that the latest version, and also I've clear data and cache for the camera app, but nothing changes. I also have flash my rom to oreo, but the problem is still, and i going back to pie. 

But for software repair or using pc companion i never tried it before, because i think software repair just clear all data and cache like the factory reset, but no problem I'll try your suggest to use pc companion.

A software repair is a bit more extensive compared to a factory reset. A factory reset will basically just erase user data and reset the all settings to a factory default, a software repair on the other hand will replace the current software in your device with a new one.

Before deciding to perform a software repair, just make sure that you are using Xperia Companion and not PC companion. PC companion might not work as it is our old program for synchronizing and repairing software in our phones. And as i mentioned, the repair will erase all user data from the phone, so make sure to do a backup of your user data before the repair in order to prevent loss of data.
