Get the XZ Premium OR wait for the next model?

HI fellow Sony lovers, i have been eyeing the XZP for quite a while now, i have been looking up everything about this phone to see if it is the right one to upgrade from my beloved Galaxy S5, but i have seen quite a lot of issues especially on this forum about the XZP, that i don't know if it's worth the investment, i really want a solid high-end phone for the next 2 years that won't leave me hanging in the worst of the situations.

So should i invest on the XZ Premium, or wait for Sony's next big release?

I switched to XZP from Galaxy S6 Edge. And I'm disappointed by the device. Most likely I will switch back to a galaxy. See my post in the thread pinned above.

If I could rewind time to May this year, I'd probably taken a S8+ instead. The way Sony treats customers is unacceptable. There hasn't been ANY commucation about the flaws or bugs of this phone. I wonder if they just want to forget about it a.s.a.p. and get on with their XZ1.

I'll not add my honest opinion as an XZP user for you as it may sound biased for some people here that a guy with a moderator tag will review a phone of the brand he's moderating its forum. But I'll suggest that you go and read some reviews from the experts on XDA-developers forum (they are totally independent, and will give an honest opinion without posting photos of keyboards and brick walls). You'll even find a thread with a similar question like yours: Buy the XZP or wait for the next release?

I suggest you to see the potential of the new flagship which is about to be announced at the end of this month. Of course if you don't need 4k 5.5" screen.

I'm going to buy it as well.

Hope it has better camera than XZP. Don't have to mention that XZP's Distortion can even distort the building not just Keyboard and Brick Wall or Excel's table

I've had the Z3, z5 and now the xzp and I absolutely love it. 

Hands down best phone I've had in years so Fast and snappy for everyday use. I like the camera and unless you're a photographic expert you won't notice the flaws. 

My only issue to date was the removal of small apps. 

But the next phone from Sony is the xz1 and xz1c which are just smaller 1080 version of the xzp. 

So the xzp is still the better phone overall it's actually part of the same family just announced first to give it an edge as last time it was announced alongside the z5 and z5c it was drowned out .
