Facebook app crashes if i update it

The Facebook app becomes unusable and crashes right away if I update it. I see that there is no option to completely uninstall the app and install it again

Any ideas about how I could fix this?

contact Facebook devs regarding the issue.

@uliwooly But it was Sony who baked it into Xperia's  system

We are not going off topic, you already have an ongoing post on preloaded apps. 

Let's just stay on topic, the app it's NOT a Sony app, which means that it is up to the app devs, Facebook, to address any issue.

@uliwooly well, the other post is locked. Looks like everyone can reply or add comments to that thread except me

I received a completely different reply from FB 

But nevermind, I used adb to uninstall FB and installed it fresh, and used adb to remove the other apps as well
