Extremely LOW VOLUME AND SOUND with the XZ a Premium

When are Sony going to fix the issue with the sound on this phone, it's a complete disgrace it's taken this long.

You cannot hear anything with the headphones on with Full VOLUME, this is supposed to be a premium phone and the sound qaulity is absolutely terrible.

WHAT IS GOING On, WHY HAVE YOU NOT DONE ANYTHING TO FIX IT...

Sony are supposed to have great sound qaulity for listening to music, but this is TERRIBLE !!!!!!!

I've tried every setting, EVERYONE is have the same problem, WHY have you not done anything about it.....

This is supposed to be a Premium Phone, I've spent over £500 on this phone, it's an absolute disgrace that it's this poor...

For over £500 we should have had this issue dealt with by now...

WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT THIS...!

Completely agree. Sound is terrible if you don't use headphones. I don't use headphones ever.

@Danny8383 do you still have the protective foil on the front panel that came with the phone? some people in the past have been complaining about the low speaker volume until it turned out that they haven't peeled that thing off and it would obscure the speakers and muffle them.

Hi Mate i had the same volume problem. When the phone rings the ring sound would start ok at proper volume then less than half a second you could hear the volume cut down and go very quite. Even when i put the phone on to loud speaker during a call the volume was very weak even though it was set to full. This problem occured during one of the updates.

I tried all the settings on the phone no difference.

I then rebooted my phone into safemode. Push power button then hold power off on screen until phone reboots. You should see safe mode in the bottom left corner of screen once booted. Do a speaker test. and see how the volume is. if ok reboot the phone to normal then test speaker again.

This fixed the problem for me.

Same problem on my XZP...all volume are terribly low (media, ring & notification, alarm, and call-in).

I already tried safe mode, same problem...nothing change

Sony, you REALLY have to fix this.

Did you run a speaker test when in safe mode and normal mode. As is go in to your phone settings and run the test. And is your phone running the latest OS.

Maybe i was just lucky and what I done fixed the problem.

Yup i did the test in both mode and the results are the same...low volume. I'm using android 8.0.0 btw

Other than backing up your phone and doing a factory reset, and see how it goes, Or putting it in for repair There is not alot else you  can do, is it still under warrenty Btw have you checked the audio settings, and tried playing about with them. Also does it affect the sound through headphones. is the sound when it goes throgh headphones at normal volume.

Yup i've maxed out all the volume bar. The problem did not occur when using earphone...normal.

So i guess something wrong with the internal speaker volume control. The unit is still in warranty period
