Changing text message sound

Hi there I'm trying to change the text message notification on my xz2 but I can only change it for individual contacts rather than just being a blanket sound for all texts I get. I've looked through the app settings, apps and notifications and tried changing them but they don't effect text messages.

Hi @Oloth0578, let me see if I can help out here.

To adjust notification settings for all messages in the Messages app, follow the steps below.

1. Find and tap Messages > menu icon (three vertical dots) > Settings > Notifications.
2. Tap Other notifications.
3. Make sure that the behaviour is set to "Make sound/Make sound and pop up on screen.
4. Tap Advanced > Tap Sound.
