Can't transfer app data to SD card

I'm able to transfer apps and music, photos, etc to the SD card with no problem. However, the data from said apps won't transfer. It'll stay on the internal storage. Strikes me as odd because my Moto X3 is able to send everything to the external storage. Any way to fix this? Or is this intentional?

That's unfortunate. Most of my int. Storage is eaten up by app data.

Settings > storage > internal storage > take a screenshot post it here

then > apps storage > menu > sort by > size > wait > wait > wait 

check which apps are using up most of your storage 

tap on the top app > clear cache, also if it's a streaming app or social media > clear the app data. 

repeat as needed
