Can't find screen mirroring option

What a crap phone. I just spent the last hour trying to connect this stupid phone to my Sony bravia TV. The TV is telling me to look for screen mirroring in settings on phone, but no such option exists!!! I can't believe I wasted nearly €800 on this phone, I can't sleep. I rather not have a phone then deal with this. How many people in Sony did it take to make this phone such a non user friendly headache?

Hi @markmark, I'm very sorry to hear this.

The screen mirroring option can be found in Settings > Device connection > Screen mirroring. You can start mirroring the phone's screen by tapping start, then selecting which device to mirror to.

Hi Christopher, 

Yeah thanks, found that procedure. I'm now having yet more issues. My videos won't load onto my Sony bravia smart TV! The circle timer spins for minutes then says cannot load. Then it eventually played once. Now the picture of the video will appear on the TV but it won't play. 

My wifi is strong, I can watch YouTube vids on the TV, it super fluid, so I don't think it's the WiFi.

Also, why is the sound volume low? I can't enjoy music on this phone. I'm borrowing my wife's iPhone 6 to listen to music,  cause the sound volume on it is much higher & deeper.

Sorry to hear that it isn't fully working. Could you please let me know the model number of your Bravia TV?

About the sound volume, is it when you are using headphones that you find the volume too low or is it the loudspeakers?

Screen mirroring is now fully working. I don't know why it didn't at first, cause I used the same procedure method. The 4k picture quality is very good, better than any other phone I've seen to date. 

The sound is very low both with & without headphones (Sennheiser). I'm still debating whether or not to exchange this phone because of this one issue.

Hi, 

My phone won't always connect to my sony smart TV via screen mirroring . 

I try connecting it to my TV ,but it only connects about 50% of the time !!The phone indicates no device found.

Is the tv faulty or is it the phone or both??

It's a new modern Sony smart TV, I bought it cause I thought it would be easily compatible with a Sony phone.

I have superfast WiFi, which is always strong, so it's not the wifi.
