Can`t find my chromecast

My XZ1 Compact can´t find the Chromecast plugged in my TV, before I restart the phone. After the restart there is no problem finding it. Is it a knowed bug?

Is this everytime? Could it be related to the WiFi issue that affects the XZ1 Compact (have a quick looks through recent posts to see the issue - it seems if we link to them directly the posts get locked without explanation)? I only ask as restarting the device temporarily fixes the WiFi connection issue and as I understand it the Chromecast connection would be via WiFi over the local network?

As an experiment, try using the app "Web Video Caster" before you restart your phone. See if the app is able to connect to the Chromecast without problems.

I also have problems connecting to my Chromecast. I don't use it that much, but when I do I nearly always have to restart the phone. I don't get the WiFi issues that have been reported so I don't think it is related to that.

It started to occur after one of the updates a few months ago.

Anyone else?
