Camera photos going missing

I have discovered that after a few days some of my camera photos disappear from my album.

Is there a way to access a file manager, to access files to see if they have been deleted or currupted.

Having changed from Samsung to Sony, this way of checking files has been invaluable, because the user can check all files including deleted files and photos.

If the pictures are corrupted you should still see the picture (corrupted file), download a file commander > Internal storage >  DCIM > 100ANDRO you should be able to find the pictures here. 

Keep in mind that your phone will NOT delete any file, you have to delete them, if you have google photos backup enabled it gives you an option to free up space by uploading the pictures to google clouds and delete them from your phone, again, this is NOT done automatically, YOU have to enable and agree to this.
