So there seems to be an issue with Bluetooth and the Xperia XZ, you read about it on these forums and on Bluetooth device forums. It is crazy making as my partner and I both have the same phone, the same mobile provider, bought at the same time, we both use FitBit, mine drives me crazy and my partner has no issues what-so-ever!
So, I pair mt FitBit Surge to my phone, nop problem, works fine and dandy for a few days.
Then i notice that Bluetooth is being turned off fo no reason. I turn it back on and can connect to me FitBit.
Then my FitBit can't be found. I re-pair on the phone, re-bootjh FitBit and it works again for a few days.
Then bluetooth turns off, and I start all over again.
After the update to 8.01 it is now worse.
I had to enter developer mode on the phone, switch to Bluetooth AVRCP 1.4, re-pair and once again it worked for a day.
Then it stopped again.
So if I un-pair the FB, change the Bluetooth AVRCP in the phone, re-boot the phone, re-boot the FB, then it finds it ok, pairs ok, works for a short while and then stops working. FB works fine with both my PC and IPad, so its not the FB.
I really can't keep doing this each time I want to use my FB!
Anyone have any other suggestitions as to what I can try next?
I am also tweeting to see if Sony will reply to that.
Cheers
BT
Hi @BigTony47, welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear about this
Because the issue is not happening on your partners phone, it may be due to some of the apps that you have installed as that's the only real differing factor between the two. It's worth double checking that you are both on the same build number. You can check this under Settings > About Phone.
Try your phone in safe mode and see if the problem persists.
I switch to safe mode - but that disables FitBit so I have no way of checking if it will sync.
The only thing that works is to constantly reboot, re-set and re-pair.
I have the same problem, except I have a Mi Band 2. Bluetooth crashes in middle of the day (or in the middle of the night during Sleep as Android sleep tracking) and cannot be re enabled without a reboot.
