Battery charging habbits - How to properly charge the phone?

How do you guys charge your phone?

Do you respect the old 40-80 rule? How does battery care play in?

Just got the phone and don't want to screw up it's battery.

Thanks!

EDIT:

It seems I got an official answer from the official Sony Support:

The battery will be damaged if you leave your device charging for a long time after reaching 100%. To keep this from happening and to extend the battery life, the latest Xperia™ devices have a built-in feature called Battery Care (currently Xperia™ X Compact, Xperia™ XZ, Xperia™ XZs, Xperia™ XZ Premium, Xperia™ XZ1 / Xperia™ XZ1 Compact). With other device models, avoid continuing to charge your device after it has reached 100%.

No info related to the lower limit, though.

EDIT:

I sent again a message related to the lower limit and it seems they really don't know how to answer. They sent me a link to the user manual, lol. So much for getting info from support.

I use it down to 15-20 % and avoid leaving it sit above 90% trough a night. If I charge it before bed i charge it up to 90%. If I charge it in the morning or during the day I let it fill up to 100%. I think this is what battery care is aiming to do (not leting it sit above 90% for long time) so i do it manualy because i dont charge it at the same time of the day even 2 times in a row and i dont tink it can ever learn when i charge it, so it can't do its magic.

If you charge it every night and unplug it at the same time in the morning, it will learn and it will keep it up to 90% during the night and top it off just before you unplug it.

Thanks!

I can see that there are no issues with the upper limits, but i can't find any info regarding the <20%.

have you guys tried the Chargie app on Google Play? It limits charging on any phone model by means of an app+hardware switch, connected via Bluetooth.
