Background location for WhatsApp

WhatsApp has a new function, sharing live location, i cant turn this on or off. The app says in your device go to background location  But that i cant find, even not when searching for it.. WhatsApp has all rights and all permissions for using location, but somehow its not working..  Using sony xperia xz1 with Android 8 up to date..

To share live location on WhatsApp have you tried selecting the talk>paper clip (attachment)>location>share live location.

yes that worked! i thought it was set into the setup but now i understand that this function can be turned on and off in the different chats.
