41.3.A.2.24 sim card error

HI, since I updated to oreo in December, I started to have sim fails out of the blue.

After I updated my simgle sim xz (model nr. F8331) to 41.3.A.2.24 the fail occurred more often( from 1 to 5 times a day). Sometimes it occurs while idle in my pocket, sometimes mid call.

The only solution I have at the moment is to restart the phone and it recognises the sim until the next fail.

The seccond problem I had was with no Internet connection from mobile data. But the opperator form "orange" told me a quick temporary fix: to put the phone in airplane mod for 2 secconds, and it worked.

How can I stop the sim errors? Is there an update on the way to fix this?

The sim error happened in both cases when I was on the move in my car and while I was in my home, static(where I have full signal), even when I was talking at the phone.

I can report that for some time now, the phone is working fine and I hadn't have a sim card error, or internet data connection error. But I don't know if the problem has disappeared completely or if it will appear in the future.

Thank you for the interest in my problem.

@emil4romania I've experienced this with orange Romania in some areas (can't say exactly if it was a low coverage one).

I will try to get more information on this.

Hi,

This is not necessarily a problem with the phone. The network is divided on small zones and the phone has to tell the network when it moves from one zone to another. (This happens without you knowing it so nothing to do). IF the network has some problems to find your SIM in the database the network will tell the phone to invalidate your SIM and you will have to reboot in order for the phone to use your SIM again. The same things happens if you loose your network and it takes too long to find it again. You should verify if this happens in a static environment and in good coverage. it the phone then suddenly "looses" your SIM then it is a phones problem. Note that 99.99% of the times like this it is a network problem..
