Qualities above 1080p HDR were removed by the YouTube app until they fix the stuttering lag.

Thank you very much for that but do you know ow why I haven't got Netflix ultra HD working on my app I have 90mbs d/s

Netflix only supports HDR, not uhd on mobile

Nor true at all. Where did you come up with such a ridiculous idea that YT removed 4k videos? 😂

Check out the attached picture. 4k never worked better.

I therefore recommend wiping the YT cache or even reinstalling the YT app.

I think you missed the "HDR" in the OP's question. Yes, you can still view normal 4K videos, but for HDR videos only up to 1080p is available:HDR video - Up to 1080p

Normal video - Up to 4K

I have just updated my phone to Android 8 oreo and don't seem to see a 4k option on YouTube any more. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this?

I see 2160p

Problem seems to be that YouTube in its infinite wisdom has stopped HDR videos over 1080p.

That means all those great 4khdr videos will now only show as 1080phdr 

Non HDR videos will still display up to 2160/60p
