Z5 draining the battery so fast... Even on sleep mode.

I sent my phone to be repair under the Sony warranty. According to the return form, the battery was replaced. The phone seems to be working just fine for a week or so. Yesterday it starts draining the battery so fast. Customer support says the phone lasts 2 days on standby mode(what!). Thing is, that the OS and the Android system appears to be the ones who are draining must of the battery, sometimes, even more than the screen itself. The Android system and OS have shown before 18 to 20% or higher. The barcode app I rarely use it...

Test the device in >>> safe mode for few hours

Tried to boot my device in safe mode but couldn't. I followed the link and follow the instructions (bothways) but nothing. Just did boot normally.

What if I perform the Xperia Companion software repair? I did that once and it seems to help. But anyways, like o said before, the phone was sent to the repair center and the battery replaced, according to the report.

Thanks for the help. That's what I've been trying but apparently my Z5 doesn't work like that.

it works fine on my Z5 and Z5 Premium, that's quite odd.

I tried pressing the on/off button, then, when the pop up showing the options for restart, power off, etc... I pressed the on/off button again but the safe mode option never showed up.

no problem, test it in >>> safe mode for few hours and report back.
