Z5 Compact General App Crashes

I bought the Z5 Compcat a few days ago and have had nothing but problems since booting and installing the initial update, all apps that I open seem to crash at one point or another, most notable Facebook, Whatsapp, Play Store, Camera (Also after many software repairs this is all that is currently installed)

Camera - I can reproduce the crash 95% (currently 100%) of the time simply by trying to film video (This works in Safe Mode however).

Play Store - Currently I open it and it loads as far as the search bar, 'Apps & Games' / 'Entertainment' but nothing else.

Facebook - Random crashes on different sections.

Whatsapp - Also random, generally just after sending a message it would seem.

Previously with other apps installed they also generally crashed, eg Instagram, Snapchat etc - all the normal things I guess.

I have done a Software Repair with the Xperia Companion 3 times now, and nothing has changed, even after the repair Facebook still crashed (As a default installed app with nothing else installed)

Also during the app crashings the phone generally heats up quite a bit and the battery is drained noticably.

Build Number: 32.2.A.0.253

EDIT

While running in safe mode - think the exact problem is embeded video of random kinds, running in safe mode I found an imbeded video on facebook and it caused the crash, but moments before this I opened a linked video on the vimeo web page and it loaded fine. Youtube (the app) works fine before this.

After this when going into the camera app, recording of video (just like in normal mode) starts kind of when pressing the button, as in the other controls disapear from the screen, but nothing is record and you can't exit the capture (but there is still 'video' motion displayed)

Booting back after safe mode seems to have made the phone some what usable, at least the constant crashing of the play store and the camera video recording has stopped. I read on another post that this was a general temp fix which lasted the poster 4 days - ish

Obvsiouly the phone heard me, entered facebook, tried to load a video from the wall posts, it didn't load, I pressed the back soft button and the app crashed

I guess it makes sense, but the Xperia Companion also crashes while I have the phone plugged in (so far), but every few hours instead of every few minutes

As you mention you have tried a software repair 3 times already i would look at running your phone in Safe Mode for a while to see if a 3rd party app is causing this...you already mentioned that it seemed to cure the camera problem so i would think that this could be the root of the problem

I think I have narrowed down what sets it off, it seems anything that plays back video will cause the crashing to immediatly start, which then sneaks in to other apps like the Play Store part for some reason. I disabled auto video playback in Facebook and am keeping out of Instagram / Snapchat and seems OK so far.

Also, the crashing starts straight after the software repairt, even if I delete all the apps that are seemingly 3rd party - eg only Facebook installed as it is part of the default ,  but I will I also guesssssssssssss run it in safe mode for a day or two and try to break it again, but I guess only from the Chrome/Youtube/Camera apps.
