Z5 battery life

my new Z5 only 5 days old has been running out of juice within 8 hours of light use.

battery stamina is on.

screen brightness only 14%

emails sync every hour instead of push

gmail on push

what could the problem be? the software updated when i was setting up the phone last week but apart from that same setting as my Z2 which can last slightly more than a day on same setting..

Same here! Sometimes drain 2% at once!Surely there must be a software problem! Lollipop has a battery drain bug!

There is no such bug on 5.1.1 Z3C for example, this is not lollipop the problem, it's the Z5.

Same thing happens to my Z2 when update to lollipop, then they fixed with update.

My battery drains so fast it's unreal... Sony need to fix this as my phone can't even last a full day with light usage. I'm working most of the day and hardly use my phone but get home and have around 30% left with stamina mode on

update on the battery situation.

i have disabled auto wifi search and it works wonders dealing with the battery drain

now i can even activate location services in battery saving mode for the whole day and the battery will last the day. not 2 days as advertised but at least i'm not left with 40% after lunch time. it's 2.30pm now and i full charged the phone till 100% at 1030pm last night. currently at 51% with moderate use. not great but at least not terrible.

Disabling location definitely helps, it looks like GPS and WiFi scanning is a absolute hog.

That hapen to my too and it result that my WiFi has alwais on even wen i swicht off. Wen turnoff your WiFi se in the battery grafic disappear. I restar factori my fone and that desactivate it works

Today on my Z5 Dual Sim with light use: Finished the day with 30% left, 3 hours SOT, 1h30 calling, location disabled, wifi scanning disabled, no stamina mode, no gaming.

It's not too bad but after using a Z3C I was hoping for more.

Same problem, phone is just 2 weeks old. Even with stamina mode always on I can't get a full day use.
