I've been loving my Z5 since I got it, my only sort-of problem has been the lockscreen. The default lockscreen puts a ridiculously dark grey filter over whatever picture I have as a lockscreen, not to mention the obnoxiously large clock nearly in the middle of the screen. I saw that the Galaxy S6 has sensible placed its clock in the top left of the screen and allows you to display whatever lockscreen in splendid, vivid colour. In the past, with my Z1, I simply installed a third-party lockscreen app to get around this but the Z5's thumb scanner isn't compatible with any of these to my knowledge (and I rather like that feature).
It seems a bizarre and backwards creative choice to have a phone screen capable of such vivid colour and resolution, only to have an embarassment of a lockscreen that is so dark and bland. Whilst not being overly tech-savvy, I was wondering if there was any way to change this - either remove the clock, or lighten the screen, or preferably both! (Will Marshmallow allow for more custom options for lockscreens, as I don't mind waiting of that's the case?).
That's actually similar to the Android Vanilla lockscreen, I agree with you I don't like it, it'll be great to have an alternative but you could request this to Sony directly Local support
