I'm on my second Xperia and today is my last day to bring it in for an exchange. The first one went balistic and started randomly activating the screen (as if someone was randomly tapping the screen). Nothing could spare that phone, no idea why it happened and it was only 4 days old. So after much difficulty the phone was wiped and exchanged.
I have the same exact phone now (save for the color), but this one won't remember and reconnect with devises I pair it with. I use my cell phone with my Garmin to live track my progress to friends and family when I hike/ride solo for safety and it won't even consider commicating with that. The car is a pain, I have to set music up first, then manually request it to pair with it. I also have a bose speaker that gives me the same problems.
My first Xperia worked (Same model, different color), which leads me to believe it would be a hardware issue, not software (if everything is the same).
Wifi is off, airplane mode is off, bluetooth is on. Pairs with devices intially without a problem, but immediately drops connection and if I'm lucky, some devices can be manually reconnected (but not all, some will not communicate with this paticular handset at all).
If i can't fix this, this phone will have to go and I'll have to switch brands. I'm a long time Sony supporter, but yikes... this is not good. Anyone else hear of this? All my searches turn up nothing that seems relevant to this.
