Hi All,
my new xperia z3 unable to mount my working 64GB mico SD card. the phone detected that the file format is different and prompt to format. But after formatting, it is still unable to mount the card. I tried this 64Gb card on PC and it is working. I tried mounting a 32Gb card on the Z3 and working too.
Please help

Sorry to hear that you have issues with the microSD.
Using your PC, could you first try to remove all partitions from the microSD and then create a single primary partition formatted with exFAT using an application like MiniTool Partition Wizard and see if that helps?
If this doesn't solve the issue, could you also test if the card is working properly in your PC using an application like H2testw?
Neither of these programs helped. MiniTool did not have the option to format as exFat. Formatting and partitioning thru MiniTool still produces the same error when the card is plugged into the Z3. Like I sad previously, I have tried multiple pieces of software to format and partition the sd card, as well as the health/status of the sd card. Every program formats and partitions the sd card with no problem. It can be read/write to by Windows and Mac computers, as well as other Android phones. All health checks I have ran on the card show as no errors/no warnings, and no bad sectors. Every single one of the methods has resulted in the same Damaged SD card try reformatting message on the Z3. Only the Z3 has a problem with the sd card.
Could you please send me a PM with the following information and i'll forward this internally for further investigation:

Hi, Is there still no update from sony? I am also having the same problem with the op. I had been using strontium 64GB Nitro 566X in my (old) Samsung S5 and it worked just fine. But when I move it to my new z3, the problem arised.
I've also tried everything the op has done with the same results.
And I am still hoping that there will be a way out for this issue.
Cheers
Yes, the SD card is not broken. I think this is just a compatibility issue, but sony either hasn't care enough or don't care at all...since you problem must has already been logged from last year.
I think I'll just give up. I've spent too many time trying to solve this 'little' problem. I'll just buy a new SD card with lower capacity and give this to my sister, who is using Note 4, WHICH HAS NO ISSUE WITH THE CARD...
cheers

Sorry to hear that you have this issue as well. Could you perhaps send me the details i asked for earlier to help us locate the issue? I've sent private messages to everyone in this thread earlier asking for more details but only Wannabe has responded (thanks!) but i'm afraid we have not been able to find any issue so far when testing.
