Z3 compact tab dead after updating

Hi, I used Sony's emma software yesterday to update my z3 tab to the latest lollipop version after the update was complete I removed the USB cable and tried to turn the tablet on, nothing happened so I tried to out it into download mode, still nothing, tried holding power and vol+ but still nothing from the tablet. I had around 80% battery when I started the update.

There are no LED's lighting up at all, I can't charge the device, either through USB port or magnetic charger. I left it on charge for 24 hours but it still won't turn on I also pressed the little button under the micro SD panel to power cycle the battery with no luck.

I have only had the Tab for about 8 months and it's already dead, what can I do to fix this?

Connect the phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2 to 3 hours

Hi ADR32, welcome to the community!

Follow @Uliwooly's advice. If the LED light appears then you can try running a software repair on the handset as it is likely to bring the phone back to life:

1. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
2. Phone Software Update.
3. Start.
4. Repair Phone
5. Continue
6. Accept data removal
7. Next
8. Wait for prepare
9. Select Phone
10. Follow the connection steps

Note: all user data will be deleted during this process unfortuantely as to back up any data the handset needs to be on and the screen needs to be unlocked.

Hope this helps! Keep us updated.

Thanks for the suggestion but this tablet is dead as a dodo. I am getting no life from this thing, what are my options now? I'm from the UK do I call support or are there any other tricks I can try to get it going again.
