Mist in the Camera Lens

Hi,(I'm sorry if my english is not perfect cause i speak Franch) ,i have always bought an Xperia device, so this year i had an Xperia Z3, amazing Smartphone from Sony i love it a lot, some times i use it under water and always closed flaps of course, but the fifth time i use it, i noticed beginnig creation of mist in the camera lens, when i tried the camera, the lens was totally covered with mist, so i opened the Sd and sim Card slot and put it in a case with the rice i waited for 2 days and i saw the lens again i found that the mist has decreased but still there, so i apporched the lens to a hot light and i don't know how the mist has disapeared and the camera fully worked, but today i put it in the water and the mist returned again, please tell me, what should i do ?

@YBNazim

Remove both SIM and SD cards > place your phone in a bowl with rice for 24-48 hours

If you contact Sony make sure to request a vacuum test.

This is exactly what i did thank you, but another time, when i'll put it in the water it will do the same thing i think, so i prefer to avoid puting it in the water.

@YBNazim

Click in the link above and contact your local Xperia Care and request a vacuum test, that way this issue will be addressed.

Unfortunately I wish I had seen this forum before I purchased my Z3, well I have learnt a lesson - read forum's before purchasing, they may set better expectations of a product that any manufacturers marketing department..

I purchased a new 'fone with a bit of reluctance because I had been happy with my 3 1/2 year old Blackberry. No problems, it worked day in, day out exactly as I expected however it was starting to get too old for currently available technology (4G) and some apps.

I sell boats and thought that the Z3 would be ideal for the occasional splash and have young children and liked the idea of being able to take pictures just under the surface of the water of them learning to swim.

I am an experience diver and understand not to move a camer underwater as the pressure of the movement add's to the water pressure many times over....

Two weeks and two photos less than 20cm under water of my daughter swimming in to owning my Z3 and my rear camera has water droplets/mist and the second row down on the screen doesn't work.

I have a question, sounds strange but think about it... why when I put my mouth over the usb cover can I gently breathe in a small amount of air and over the larger SIM cover can I  breathe in a larger amount of air?

I appreciate the IP ratings quoted aren't completely air tight however it's scary that air can be sucked out / through the 'fone and my guess (I used to run an electronics factory) is that changing temperatures cause air inside the 'fone to expand and retract allowing humidity, if not water droplets, to enter through these covers making the 'fone not at all resistant to water as claimed by the manufacturer.

Let me know what you think... Those people that say they don't have a problem, can you breathe air out of your 'fone connectors... Can this be right?

btw my new 'fone, less than three weeks old, new from Vodafone, doesn't have any water sensitive labels under the connector covers... White, Red or even sky blue pink with yellow dots... Could my "brand new" 'fone in fact be a previously damaged service replacement..... how will I ever know, service replacements have new covers, packaging etc etc and look like new...

The moderators of this forum have my email address and I look forward to eXPERIAncing some customer service...

Oh, did I say, I have a certificate hanging on my office wall dated 1992 and signed personally by Gerry Whent, Chairman of Vodafone. I'm not new to this game.....

When replying to me you may also like to consider the others in this and other forum's who are sufering from the same problem.

The Z3 doesn't perform as marketed, even in the hands of a very experienced user.... Mine won't be going anywhere near water again and next time I purchase a water proof device I will take a bucket of water in to the shop in order for the salesman to demonstrate ALL the "features"....

If you're thinking about purchasing a "waterproof" 'fone from any manufacturer consider the above very carefully...
